Rita Salvi Platt, D.D.S.	Rita Salvi Platt, DDS, the owner of Healthy Smiles, was born in Highland Park, IL.  She is married and has four children.  She’s been in dentistry for over 14 years, and has been practicing at the present location since December 2000. Dr. Platt began training for her professional career at Marquette University and received a B.S. in Dental Hygiene in 1988.  In 1992 she earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Loyola Dental School.  She continues to stay up to date with the latest in dental technology, attending continuing education courses throughout the year. She’s currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and the General Dentist Academy.    Dr. Platt feels that the patient should always come first.  She makes her patients feel comfortable by providing quality care and speaking to them in language they understand, putting them in control of their oral health.  Her commitment to serving the Lakeview community is exemplified further by her support of numerous organizations including the Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club, numerous local churches and schools, including St.  Andrews and St. Benedicts Parishes and Sacred Heart and Blaine Schools.
Sonya R. Palit, D.D.S.	Sonya R. Palit, D.D.S., was born in Muskegon, Michigan and grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the first city in the world to put fluoride in its drinking water! Dr. Palit attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she earned her B.A. in English Language and Literature and Pre-Dental studies in 2004 and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2009.  She then moved to Chicago to complete an additional year of advanced dental training in a General Practice Residency at Loyola University Hospital in Maywood, IL.  Dr. Palit strongly believes in the value of an open, trusting relationship between herself and her patients. She seeks to inform and educate her patients so that they may actively participate in achieving and maintaining their oral health.  Dr. Palit is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.  In her spare time, Dr. Palit enjoys exploring the sights,  sounds, and especially food of Chicago with her husband.
